Shimelle's Scrapbook Starting Point

I'm half way through making my Jubilee Street Party mini album......actually I'm pretty near finished.....and then in my Google Reader.......up popped Shimelle's Starting Point for this week......I don't often join in......but just loved the simplicity of this one.
and here's mine
Her one is 12 x 12.....mine is 8 x 8
Here's how her one finished up
And mine ended up bearing no resemblance at all......but that's what's great about a 'starting point'.

Oh, wow, that photo of you all dressed in jubilee colours makes such a striking picture. I love it! Funny, this starting point really attracted me too, love the design and how you have used it.

I love how your LO turned out using Shimelle's starting point, and very British it looks too!

What a great layout - excellent interpretation of Shimelle's starting point. I clicked on yours right away to check out the Jubilee theme. I'm a ex-pat living in Canada, wishing I could have been there for the celebrations. They looked like so much fun! It reminded me a lot of when we (Vancouver) hosted the Olympics and everyone was decked out in Red and White and maple leafs! Sigh. I miss Britain and am longing to return 'home' for a visit so thanks for your little peak into life across the pond!

That is a beautiful layout. Whenever I begin a layout, I have to remember that it is only a starting point, What it ends up being often surprises me!

Hi Jacky, thanks so much for dropping by my sadly neglected blog and leaving a comment, made my day! Slowly catching up with my fav blogs. Really enjoyed seeing your Jubilee Album and the albums you made for Rhinda's photography hunt. I'm very intrigued, although I reckon it might be a huge challenge for me to photograph a pier! How sad that your beautiful pier was burnt, hope it gets restored. Sue x
